Each box holds a 12 oz bag from a different independent Montana roaster, roasted to order. For the one who left Montana
Most people who leave Montana can name the coffee they miss: a cafe on the main street back home, or a roastery they drove past for years. This gift sends them Montana coffee wherever they live now.
Every 4 weeks a box arrives with a 12 oz bag from a different independent Montana roaster, roasted to order and packed in the roaster's own bag. Our packing slip says who roasted it and where their shop is.
What they get
A gift is 3, 6 or 12 boxes for $82.99, $166.99 or $333.99, shipping included, paid once, no renewal. Each box holds one bag, whole bean or ground, and it ships anywhere in the US.
- Roasted and shipped within 3 days.
- Free replacement if a bag disappoints.
- A reminder email 3 days before each box.
- Your ratings steer the next bag.
Where the coffee comes from
A few of the roasters we list, region by region:
- Flathead Valley and northwest Montana: Montana Coffee Traders has roasted since 1981 in an old farmhouse south of Whitefish, and Camp Creek in Libby roasts a Libby Landmarks coffee.
- Missoula, the Bitterroot and western Montana: Hunter Bay started in Missoula in 1991 and roasts in Lolo, and Big Creek began in a rebuilt garage before opening a coffee house in Hamilton.
- Butte, Helena and southwest Montana: Florence Coffee Company roasts in Butte and has a Miner's Blend named for the city, and Montana Maid in Clancy names every blend for a Montana river.
- Gallatin and Paradise valleys: Yellowstone Coffee Roasters began in a log cabin outside Bozeman in 1998, and Crazy Mountain in Big Timber is roasted by Dru Hayes, who grew up below the range it is named for.
- Great Falls and north central Montana: Morning Light has roasted in Great Falls since 1989, and Moon Eyes opened in Fort Benton in 2022, across the street from the Missouri River.
- Billings and eastern Montana: Rock Creek roasts inside its Billings shop, and Wild Calf roasts on a family place on the prairie at Bainville.
Roasters named here are local favorites we list. A listing does not mean a roaster is part of the club, and no roaster pays to be listed.
We choose the roaster for each box from across Montana, so we cannot promise a bag from their home town.

How we chose these roasters
Every roaster here roasts in Montana and was operating when we read its own site, on the date its card shows (the list itself was last checked 2026-09-27). Facts come from each roaster's own pages, written in our words; we take nothing from reviews and show no ratings. No roaster pays to be listed, and a listing does not mean the roaster is part of the club. Run a roaster here and something is off? Email coffee@lastbestcoffeeclub.com and we correct or remove the page.
Moved-away gift questions
Can I send a Montana coffee gift to another state?
Yes. Gifts ship to any US address, shipping included in the gift price.
Can they pick the roast?
You pick it when you order, so they fill nothing in. If you are unsure, set the roast to mix it up and the grind to ground for drip.
Does it renew?
No. You pay once and the gift ends after the last box.
Can the gift come from a roaster in their home town?
We cannot promise that. Each box comes from a different Montana roaster we choose, and the packing slip names the roaster and their shop.
