Their story
Revel Coffee started in Billings in 2007, growing out of home coffee experiments into a full roastery. It roasts to order on a 35 kilo Loring Kestrel and focuses on consistency, clarity and sweetness in each batch. Revel buys specialty grade, traceable coffees from farms and cooperatives it respects, stresses ethics and long relationships, and picks coffees that taste of where they come from.
The company is a Good Food Award winner and was named the best coffee roaster in Montana by Food and Wine. Besides retail bags, it supplies cafes, offices, retailers, schools and organizations, helps them choose equipment, and makes private label and house blends, including branded coffee for gifts and fundraisers. Its current list leans on light and experimental lots, such as a natural from producer Israel Degefa in the Guji zone of Ethiopia and co-fermented and anaerobic coffees from Colombia and Costa Rica.

House blends include Revel Blend, Throttle and Ethiospro. Single origins on the list when we checked: Ethiopia Natural Buku Abel, Ethiopia Guji Daye Bensa, Ethiopia Israel Degefa Wush, natural, Colombia Monteblanco Purple Caturra co-ferment and Costa Rica Montano Anaerobic.
