Big Creek Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Montana: an independent roaster based in Victor. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Big Creek began by roasting coffee in a rebuilt garage and selling it out the door, then started shipping across the country. In 2012 the owners opened their first storefront in a historic corner building in downtown Hamilton. The building still has its original 1904 oak floors and has housed a county law library, a bakery, a steam laundry and a newspaper. They set out to put the roaster where customers could see it, to brew each cup to order, and to have staff who learn a regular's order within a few visits.
Roasting and mail orders now run from a roastery on Highway 93 in Victor. The owners say they wanted the shop to be a community gathering place and a business partner that gives back generously. Its wholesale program partners with small businesses, offering consultation, onsite training, delivery and custom blends.

Roast levels run light, medium and dark. House blends include RISE (signature blend) and Trapper (medium dark). Single origins on the list when we checked: Guatemala Huehuetenango, organic. Offerings change with the seasons, so this is what their own pages listed on 2026-09-27.
