Camp Creek Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Montana: an independent roaster based in Libby. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Camp Creek is a family roaster in Libby that pitches its beans as far fresher than grocery shelf coffee, which it says can be a year old. Besides coffee, the online store carries teas, huckleberry licorice and Camp Creek hats and shirts. Old Hwy 2 Brew is the house light roast, described with honey and apricot flavors and a nutty finish. Tanzanian Trails sits in the middle as a bright, clean medium roast.
At the dark end, Miners Mud is pitched as a bold coffee for people heading to a shift. The Bigfoot Blend is described with chocolate and peanut notes. For travel the shop packs single-serve pour-over bags in fives, alongside its 12 ounce and 5 pound bags.
What they roast
Roast levels run Medium (Tanzanian Trails) and Dark (Miners Mud). House blends include Bigfoot Blend, 'Squatch Blend, Miners Mud, Old Hwy 2 Brew, Tanzanian Trails and Libby Landmarks. Why buying from Camp Creek Coffee Roasters matters here
Its coffee list includes a roast called Libby Landmarks, named for the home town of the shop. The Libby Landmarks series features a local sight on each release.
