Their story
The business started in Miles City more than 15 years ago as a home roasting hobby, grew into a cafe and later became a roastery. Chad and BeKa Phipps bought it from its original owner in fall 2021. They had earlier run a small coffee shop in Jordan, Montana. Single origin beans are roasted in small batches on a custom-built roaster in Miles City.
Where to drink it
Kafé Utza has no cafe of its own; its beans are poured at The Ugly Mug and sold by several Miles City shops.
