Their story
Clyde is a locally owned coffee shop, roastery and cafe with two locations in Missoula. The roastery shares a building with the main cafe on the Hip Strip, and a newer cafe opened on the ground floor of the Missoula Public Library. Its coffee is also sold wholesale to grocery stores and cafes.
Its coffees have offbeat names. Suburban Lawns is a light roast from Huehuetenango, Guatemala, Irregular Jane is a medium blend of Ethiopian and Guatemalan beans, and Okay It's Morning is a dark Central American roast. Mountain Bride is a single origin Guatemala taken to a French roast, the Monster Espresso is a medium roast world blend, and the decaf, All Hat No Cattle, is a Swiss Water Mexico. The cafes serve a short savory menu and a wide range of teas, and the company caters events with brewed coffee, cold brew, pastries, sandwich platters and breakfast burritos.
What they roast
Roast levels run Light, Medium, Dark and French Roast. House blends include Irregular Jane (Ethiopia and Guatemala, medium) and Okay It's Morning (Central America, dark). Single origins on the list when we checked: Suburban Lawns (Guatemala Huehuetenango, light) and Mountain Bride (Guatemala, French roast). Monster Espresso (medium roast world blend).
