Adella Coffee is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Montana: an independent roaster based in Anaconda. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Owner Dina named the company for her grandmother Adella, with whom she shared many cups of coffee over the years. Before roasting on her own, Dina spent more than ten years as a barista in specialty coffee, where she also picked up roasting. Her roaster is a vintage Diedrich bought from an uncle-in-law. It first ran at Caroline's Coffee, a business her husband's grandparents started in the 1980s.
Adella also takes special orders and offers custom coffee training, both for people brewing at home and for cafe owners. Dina counts herself the third generation of the family to roast on the old Diedrich, which she treats as an heirloom.

Single origins on the list when we checked: Colombia Tamesis, Puerto Arturo (honey process), Mexico Chiapas Highlands, Nicaragua Jinotega, La Bastilla (yeast anaerobic), Peru Junin, Warmikuna women's coffee and Colombia Tamesis regional blend. Where to drink it
The coffee bar sits inside the Anaconda Outdoor store, in the building with the goose mural, and keeps limited morning hours a few days a week.

Why buying from Adella Coffee matters here
The small coffee bar operates inside an outdoor gear shop in Anaconda, serving pour overs, cold brew and Arabic coffee. Along with coffee, her grandmother handed down family recipes, stories and tatreez, a style of hand embroidery, which Dina says she means to pass on in turn.
Every bag bought from a Anaconda roaster pays roasting and cafe wages in Montana, and the coffee reaches you days after roasting instead of months. That is the reason the club exists. Why local roasters matter.
